IS A CAREER IN REDESIGN RIGHT FOR YOU?
- Do you help friends with their decorating dilemmas?
- Do you have a flair for decorating?
- Do you prefer a hands-on approach?
- Are you discouraged because you thought you had to have a college degree to become a designer?
If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, this may be the time to call and sign up for our Professional Redesign Training. Our class is customized for those of you who would love to have your own Redesign/Staging business.
Why should you train with an IRIS approved instructor?
All IRIS instructors offer five-day training programs in the
redesign/staging concepts and their course manuals and content
meet the stringent requirements of the IRIS Training
committee.
- EXCELLENCE:
IRIS is the world’s premier interior
redesign and real estate staging organization

redesign and staging business owners who have made a committed
decision to share their professional expertise with others.

Experience is
the best teacher…nothing compares with hands-on training.
You will receive a comprehensive redesign/staging manual
complete with business forms. We will provide you with the
resources and the knowledge to start and market your own
successful business. We devote an entire manual section to
color and a whole chapter to home staging. We spend an entire
day on business start-up, marketing and advertising.
Our expertise, shared willingly, in the field of staging is
unsurpassed with our collective experience of 20 years in
redesign and staging. Our class is the ONLY redesign/staging
program in the country with THREE FULL days of
hands-on training in 3 to 4 ENTIRE homes.
We teach in every room of the house: family room, home
offices, kitchens, bathrooms and children’s rooms, not just
the living or dining rooms. We provide intense training on
furniture placement, accessorizing, redesigning china
cabinets, bookcases and creating tablescapes.
In addition, we have fulfilled all of the strident guidelines
set by IRIS to represent the organization.
Upon completion, you will receive a certificate stating that
you have completed a professional redesign training program.
You will also have the opportunity to repeat the course
free of charge, space permitting.
You will be eligible to join I.R.I.S. and
become a Certified Redesigner and Certified Interior Staging
Specialist. If you choose to join I.R.I.S. you will have a built-in network of redesigners
and stagers to support and help you with design dilemmas. I.R.I.S. also provides you with an on-line directory in which you can advertise your services.
The redesign concept cannot be learned from a book, video or from photographs. You need hands-on experience to understand how everything fits together. Each home has its own architecture, furnishings and style.
Because there are two of us, the teacher to student ratio is lower. We each have our own unique areas of expertise to share with you on each project, including furniture placement, color, accessorizing, floral design, etc.
We have
taught and mentored over 150 men and women, from all walks of
life. We offer continuous mentoring as long as our graduates
need it to insure that they are successful in their own
business.
Our
credits include two segments each, of redesigning homes on
HGTV’s “Decorating Cents.” We are both published
authors. Our award winning book, IRIS in the House
is an anthology of great design ideas for the home. In
addition, our work has been featured in “The Half Moon Bay
Review”, a local magazine, and Better Homes and Gardens.
Additionally we have contributed to a book on staging entitled
301 Simple Things You Can Do to Sell Your Home NOW and
For More Money Than You Thought.
